Thick slab of gorgeous wood. by Marshall

I saw the maker demoing the cutting board set at a regional food festival and was impressed. I was curious if they had other woods to match my dark wood cabinets, but when the owner explained they only made it with a specific coastal wood because of it's naturally occurring antibacterial characteristics and gentleness on a knife I was sold. I hope these things take off. I love mine. It even survived me accidentally running it in the dishwasher on high-heat.

What a neat idea! by Ashley

I was told about these cutting boards during my recent trip to Port Orford, Oregon and then had the chance to see once when passing through Southern Oregon. It's such a neat idea to use an aromatic, antifungal wood. As a mom who has been feeding a family for 15 years I don't necessarily need the measurements on the board, but they are a clever use of the space. This cutting board is a bit of a luxury (priced well above no-name bamboo ones I see on Amazon), but as someone who enjoys nice things, from good kitchen knives to sous vide, I am glad I bought it (I've already thrown out my old boards).
